The legend of how kava was made

Once up  pod a time there lived a little girl and her mum and dad,they lived on this unknown island but the island was in Tonga. What they used to eat was  fish that they used to hunt for food.one day the king of Tonga and his boys went to hunt and they went too far off the shore and got lost so then they found the island ,where the mother and her husband,daughter lived.One of the kings men found the dad and mum he said'' may you prepare a special meal for the king ''the father replied'' yes but there aint much food but we will try''.On they went well the king rested.One of the men  found the daughter that had lived there then he gave her his sword and teaches her how to cut the branches off the tree. all of the men went to hunt for crabs to eat while they where doing that the mum and dad said''we might need to kill our daughter'' the mother replied'' no why do we need to he can hunt for his self''father replied ''remember he is the king ''as u wish said the mother''.The father pretend to hug the daughter but he actually murders his own daughter the mother tried to stop him but it was too late.the men that found her was calling''kava kava kava '' they also where ruining''. ( You may ask why they where calling kava it was called that because when ever they could hear anyone scream it was signal that someone is getting murder) They told the king these people have killed there daughter for you the king felt gimleted,a year after  that there where plants over the daughters grave. From then on they called that plant kava.(when ever there is a funeral they have kava it is dirty water well sort of)

What would you do?

have you ever wondered what would happen if you where stuck in a escape room?

Well what i think if i was stuck in a escape room I would just try and find clues to get out but if you ad to stay their for 24 hours.I would get food a inflatable bed or a pool float  because it would be a great and comfortable bed.Also i would get a nice fluffy blanket.But to go to the bathroom i am not really sure maybe we can say if we can go out for only a 30 second toilet  break.

The students from years 6 that go to pt England school,they are on their way to go to kawau island for their camp.They first have to load the bus then,then we got to where the fairy is   the fairy 3 hours to get their. And about 20 minutes to get to the island.Their was rules on the fairy,one was there has to be nothing in your hands,two no running.Camp is like where you have fun and hang out and do activities,we went on Tuesday 19 we went to kauwa island,we went to camp for all of the year 6 to  come closer and get used to each other.We all slept in cabins in some of them was 7 people or less.Camp is for 3 nights and 4 days.I liked doing kayaking at camp because we gotta go 4 kilometres long and we got to go under stuff to get to the other side.Sometimes we would have to paddle faster to catch up to the others up the front.I thought i would fall out and have to swim with the sharks and other stuff.But nobody fell  out that was a relief.My favourite thing was abseiling because you had to wear a hanes so if we had to fall our intruder Dave would catch us because the Caribbean was on it so all he had to do was pull the rope.First we had to climb up the hook wall then we had to go back down on a high wall that was the only way or u had to go back down the hook wall.I would like to thank all of the parent helpers and teachers and people that made camp possible because without you guys we wouldn't have had camp this year.Thank you Mr salima for being my teacher your the best because you always joined in at the activities you made this years camp much better.What I learnt from camp was that you should never give up,also u should give something that you've never done a chance because it could be really fun .

White sunday Recount

Have you ever been in a white sunday? One sunny Sunday my family and I woke up and got ready to make breakfast. After we made breakfast, we got our ofu for church and my mum told us all to get changed. Then we got changed into our ofu and my sister and I plait our hair. Once we had plait our hair we were all ready to go to church. 

On the way to church we saw  my aunt and my cousins on the way there.My brothers and I were trying to remember our dance and speech.My baby sister was crying because she. didn't want to go to church. Then we finally arrived.

When it was my turn to go and say my speech,I was so nervous because I had to stand by myself and speak in front of a lot of people,we do it every year i think.I was so nervous but then i did my speech without any mistakes.

After our speech we had to do our dance i was doing it with two of my cousins,they were so scared i wasn't because i learnt it.it took a long time to learn how to dance to the beat and get the foot step right.

I felt really nervous at the beginning of the day but once it was over I felt relieved. I was really proud of what I have achieved. I can’t wait until next years white Sunday.

Splash zone is where the hots animals live and it is the top  of all the other zones.The high zone is a little bit like the splash zone also it is under the splash zone.
Mid zone is sort of like in the middle of the zones the mid zone is fully covered.Low zone is the bottom zone where all the small creature lives. The creatures that live in the the splash zone is sea gulls,and sea snails.In the high zone there lives crabs,star fish,limpets and in the Mid zone there are Big star fish.In the low zone there are smallish,kina,seahorse,and that what you can find in the zones.

Fortunately unfortunately narrative

Fortunately Miss Parrant was happy unfortunately her class was silly and then she was unhappy.Fortunately she was having a coffee unfortunately she tipped it on her new jersey.Fortunately Jayah got her some tissue unfortunately she forgot to take her medicine for her teeth.Fortunately Miss Parrant could come and  train us unfortunately she could not make it to the Jammers netball game.Fortunately Miss parrant was okay to come to school after she got her teeth done.Unfortunately she was not 100% she was only 50% because she had to pull out 5 teeth out on Saturday. Imagine that you are one of these swimmers. You have just dived into the ocean and are looking
around the seafloor. What are some of the things that you can see, feel and hear underneath the
water?

What can you touch?	Ocean,sand seaweed rocks also you can touch yourself
What can you hear?	The whales talking and the animals splashing.

When i went under water i saw a huge group of fish and i could hear the whales talking and
I could also I  could hear all of the other animals splashing.I touched the seaweed,rock,also
you can touch,the ocean.When i went I  saw the dolphin going up and it wa so cool and so
amazing.the people that I went diving with was sauma,zyla,also latisha.I also sore a killer
whale and it was so scary because I   thought it would bite me, then sauma said I can see the
dolphin doen swimming in the water.

On a cloudy Thursday room 8 went to the playground and we were in two line walking nicely and quietly.when we got to the playground we got told what we were going to do what do you think we are going to do? When we got to the playground Miss parrant told us to get into teams boys and girls so room 8 did.then we started for the monkey bars And then went up On the letter to get to the other monkey bar. Then we could go and start the optical course I didn't want to do it but i went at the end i did the course. Body paragraph-challenge -Firstly -After that -then When we all finished the activity Miss Parrant looked at her watch and she said” you guys have 2 minutes to play on the playground. It was so fun and then we got told to line up into straight lines. Then we walked back to class but we didn't go through the breeze. Body paragraph-Free time-Firstly -After that -Then Conclusion: When we got told we are going to do something I said” yaya.I felt happy and excited but then i didn't want to do it but i just did it. I felt so good and hydrated.

Oh no me Jasmine,Patience,zyla went for a walk and then we were walking in to the beach but it was a deserted Island. We were stuck there for about 1 hour but then we were scared because there were animals that would bite you.I said to zyla and patience we need to try find our self home or call help or make a signal.

In week 5 we went on year 5 and 6 camp so what we do at camp is we sleep in tents and we get to do activities and other stuff. What we get to do is wet activities like killer zone .we get to be in groups for tents and for the group dance concert.At camp we did a lot of activities and fun stuff the year ⅚ went on camp at school.

We went on camp because it has being going for 28 years but now is 29 years.My favourite part of camp is that we got to do killer zone with Tamaiti Lelei it was fun because you got wet and you had to use teamwork .Mr Jacobson set this game for us.My favourite other thing is  tenting because we got to decorate our tent.

First me and Mele got our big bag and put it in our  tent then took off our shoe and started to decorate.I just want to say thank you to Norah-jade and siosiua for being good leaders and thank you to Miss Timmy for cooking the food and to all the parent helpers.I have learnt to just try stuff that you don't and haven't played.
